Peyman Hooshmandzadeh is an award winning Iranian photographer and writer. He is known for his series of photographs Customs,Teahouse, Hands, Moustaches and One. The co-founder of 135 PHOTOS Agency Iran, he has had some eighty solo and group photo exhibitions in Iran and around the world, winning dozens of national and international awards. He has worked as a photojournalist (for Iranian newspapers and agencies, also for Reuters Agency, Panos Picture Agency, and Polfoto Agency) and published two documentary photography books: صد عکس (One Hundred Photographs) (2009) and اهل اسب (A People of Horse) (2015). His photos are included in several English-language art and photography books, such as Different Sames, Iranian Photography Now, and Transit Tehran, and in magazines such as Time and Private.He also has published a compilation of short stories Two Dots in April 2000 and When two Sundays meet in April 2001. A compilation of short notes Alcohollypsis was published in February 2004. His short story collection On The Eyeliner, was shortlisted for Haft Eqlim award for short fiction, 2019.
